Work Environment Assessments

The Bi-State Nursing Workforce Innovation Center will select healthcare sites within the region to conduct a work environment assessment with staff nurses. We will use the Individual Workload Perception Scale survey that measures aspects of organizational support, satisfaction, workload and intent to stay with the organization. Once the surveys are completed a customized report will be prepared for the leadership of the organization. Recommendations for targeted areas of improvement will be provided as well as funding to support these improvements. The overall goal of this program is to measurably improve the work environment of staff nurses in order to increase retention and satisfaction.
