Clinical Scene Investigator (CSI) Academy
In order to leverage the staff nurse’s expertise in how to improve patient care, the Bi-State Nursing Workforce Innovation Center has developed a Clinical Scene Investigator (CSI) Academy.
Staff nurses were selected to attend sessions on problem identification and leadership skills. Each CSI team developed an innovative project that targeted a patient safety issue on their unit. The CSIs were supported with the development, implementation and evaluation of the project. The overall goal of this program was to create and sustain measurable improvements in patient care.
